HOW AM I
Serving the world?
That question inspired a younger me to quit the job I hated, follow my passion for working with young people, and craft a 20+ year career in youth and young adult ministry for the Catholic Diocese of Buffalo. I found joy when facilitating strengths development, training servant leaders, and encouraging holistic growth. A pivot in 2020 led me to blend leadership and spirituality in coaching, facilitating and presenting and opened up a new way for me to live my purpose: Helping others develop their gifts and live their purpose.

My background
While I have a quirky sense of humor, I take my work seriously and am committed to mastery. I have a BA in psychology (with a minor in theatre: hello, presentation skills!), and an MA in pastoral ministry. I’m proud of the coaching certifications I’ve earned. I’ve enjoyed studying the Enneagram and creative problem solving. Yes, all of this makes me a bit geeky, but it also gives me a wealth of experiences and tools to place in service to you.

STUFF I LOVE
I devour novels, especially historical fiction with a twist of mystery. I delight in playing cards and board games with friends. Dark chocolate is a need and a hike in the woods is good for my soul. I can’t say that I love to be active (I hate sweating), but I know how important it is, so I try. I really do. The struggle is real.
HOW I ROLL
My faith background as a Catholic Christian centers me, brings me hope, and challenges me to live with kindness, service, and integrity. And my open spirituality prompts me to walk alongside others non-judgmentally, regardless of religious tradition, level of religious practice, or sense of connection to the divine. While I’m grounded in my spirituality, I welcome you as you are, wherever you are on your journey.
WHERE I’M FROM
Home for me is Western New York. I live in Amherst, NY with my husband, Chris, and our crazy dog, Dewey. (He’s mostly border collie; if you’ve had one, you understand.) Being born, raised, and rooted between Buffalo and Niagara Falls means that I have wing sauce in my veins and the power and majesty of Niagara Falls in my soul. It means that I have a sarcastic and self-deprecating sense of humor, a work ethic that doesn’t quit, and hope that might flicker but never be extinguished.
I founded Teal Horizon Coaching LLC in 2022 to instill a sense of hope in others, helping them love their questions as they live their way into the answers and transform the world.
